This policy explains how we handle personal information and applies to this website (shahcontracting.site) and to our construction and contracting services generally.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained within it.

Shah Contracting Pty Ltd is a Western Australian company providing construction and contracting services across Perth, WA. In this policy, “Shah Contracting”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Shah Contracting Pty Ltd.

The types of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us and may include:
- your name and contact details, including your email address and, where site works are involved, the street address of the project location;
- details of your enquiry, project or job, including any plans, specifications or site information you choose to share with us;
- records of our communications with you, including emails you send and receive;
- information you submit when requesting a quote through our website;
- technical information collected when you browse our website, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit.
We do not collect sensitive information (such as health information or information about your beliefs or memberships) unless it is reasonably necessary for one of our functions or activities and you have consented, or the collection is required or authorised by law.

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and, where permitted under the APPs, will not charge you for making a request. There are limited circumstances under the Privacy Act in which we may decline a request; if that occurs, we will explain our reasons.
12. Making a privacy complaint
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please let us know by emailing ceo@shahcontracting.site with details of your concern.
We will acknowledge your complaint, review the matter and aim to provide a written response within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) via oaic.gov.au.
